USA Road Trip 2003 I left California in late May of 2003 and spent three months driving around the United States. Every night I posted photos and a travelogue entry about what I'd done that day so that my friends and family could follow along. I also decorated my car with polka dots and the name of this site so that people I met along the way could check out the site and make local recommendations.

Europe 2003 When I returned from my USA Road Trip in late August 2003, I spent a few weeks with my family and then hopped a plane to London in early September. After a couple of weeks taking train trips around England and Scotland, I flew to Paris, picked up a car, and spent the next 3 months driving around western Europe.
